My purpose is "to help you find the key that unlocks your potential"
I have a deep belief in people’s inherent strengths and capabilities; The purpose of my coaching is to release them for the achievement of the important objectives of the clients - and to help them rediscover their sources of energy and motivation. It is of course important for the clients to be aware of their areas for improvement, but without being obsessed by them.
The clients are fully in charge of the choices, of the decisions and of their career, but it is my responsibility as coach to challenge them and to encourage them to stretch themselves. And I also believe that I should bring my own personality in the coaching process, and not remain a neutral facilitator. This means that I will occasionally take the risk to propose to the clients new options to consider. The coaching process helps identifying blocking beliefs that hamper the devolopment of the clients.
Relationships make the organisations, more than organigrammes. There is a strong focus in my coaching on identifying ways to build and leverage the relationships that matter for the achievement of the key objectives of the clients.
I am convinced that coaching should ideally end up in the creation of a clear development plan linked to business objectives.
I don't use a fixed methodology for my coaching, but I believe in the power of relational coaching that puts the relationship, from the perspective of the coachee, at the center. The MSc in Executive Coaching gives me access to many theories and approaches, enabling me to tailor my coaching to the individual needs. I regularly use “Solution Focused Coaching”: it is oriented towards the future, and it creates positive energy as it brings change based on what already works. Transactional Analysis is also very powerful to optimise the relationships in the organisations.
Good coaching does not require many tools, but "multisource feedbacks" provide useful information, and I often ask the clients to present their lifeline that highlights their sources of motivation. I am happy to base the coaching on the tools normally used by the clients or their organisation.
I respect the Ashridge Code of Conduct for Coaches.
